Yes. Mine came preformafted as NTFS so you will be able to read the files on it out of the box. But to be able to write files to it, you will have to install software to allow you to write to NTFS volumes or reformat it to HFS+ from within Disk Utility.

Hybrid drives are the worst of both worlds... avoid them.
