• A:Answer Yes. Absolutely.\ Note: I have found some of these 4TB drives formatted for exFAT. I have had problems (in Win7 and Win10) with this format on these drives. I have deleted and partitioned and formatted for NTSF.

• A:Answer Depends upon the backup software. Easus, Aomei yes. My choice is Macrium Reflect (free addition works very well). Macrium creates an image of your chosen folders (or drive). All require that the target drive be as large (or larger) than the source.

Q: QuestionIs the enclosure hermetically sealed, or can the drive within be replaced when the time comes? Hate the waste of having to trash the whole unit when the drive dies.

• A:Answer Anonymous - thanks for your response, but my question did not address airflow in the case. Rather, I was inquiring whether or not the enclosure can be opened to change out the drive when it inevitably dies at some point.
