A:AnswerIt does work on the ps5, however with the way the ps5 works, you can store both ps4 and ps5 games but you can only play ps4 games directly from the storage. Meaning you have to transfer ps5 games out the storage to the ps5 to play it.
A:AnswerNo. You can leave hard drive connected and turn off PS4. Once you've connected hard drive leave it connected. Doesn't matter what mode you leave your PS4 in.

A:AnswerI have an older PlayStation 4 and I don’t think it has USB 3 but it is backwards compatible. Also, performance should not be much different. It has been tested to be the same as on the newer model with USB 3
A:AnswerIf you take out the internal drive, there is nothing to run the system. Maybe you could install the firmware on this, but you are better off buying another internal hard drive.

more storage for games.
