I don't think you are required to use the recovery and just use the drive to do your Windows 'file history' backup of your personal files and other. A:AnswerSorry, but since I have never even seen an xbox one, I have no idea. With my desk top, I simply plug the included cord into a USB port and pull up my file explorer. It is extremely easy to use.
