• In theory, yes but you would need to get this installed into an external hard dive enclosure and connect it using a USB cable. Unless you can figure out how to remove the old drive without voiding the warranty and transferring any software to the new drive (which might be tricky with Dish's proprietary software).

• Buy an external enclosure so it will have a usb port , then you can. But honestly this driver is not really designed for DVR work , Buy a a portable drive for use with your DVR system
