I just got mine in the mail. the setup was like this - plug via ethernet cable into the router, plug the drive into the power in the wall. Then it does a little setup deal with firmware and username and password stuff. there is one port for i believe another drive, you might be able to use this to xfer files, but I'm not sure - the documentation that came with this is like a childens book with pictures, no words - its literally all pictures. so i have no idea how to hook this up to my apple tv - trying to figure that out now. i went to copy 7.3 gigs in one shot and it said about 36 minutes to transfer over wifi - i think im hooked up via N connection. i also tried to backup my phones camera roll to the device, but it just times out - probably because i have no storage avail on my phone and it probably cant create temp directories, but what do i know...all i have is this 3 page booklet with pictures.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It can connect by Ethernet and wireless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It connects via ethernet. As I have experienced with this one, I set up the sDrive app that is stored in the device when I originally set it up, and it maps the drive for you. I have an older Seagate where everything had to be downloaded when you were using it remotely, but with this one it opens it as if you were still on the same wifi network. It works quite well. It does have a USB connection, but I myself have never had to utilize it so I have no idea what it is capable of in that regard. I have noticed that if you have downloaded the sDrive app, it does allow you to add a device to it.... I haven't played around with that since I don't have anything I have tried to connect to it like a chrome cast but I would say it's possible.....
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's a USB drive only.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This unit works only via ethernet. Must be connected to your router on the same network. This has a USB connection but it for a thumb drive so u can easily move files from the thumb drive to the SeagatePersonalCloud. I do not believe it can work with chrome cast. Contact seagate support to confirm
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The only data port is USB. The drive will have to be connected to a computing device.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It connects through Ethernet Cable.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I can only answer 2 questions. It connects by Ethernet cable, which is included. You can use as a normal drive. You can simply drag and drop whatever you want to save into any of the folders you create for your Seagate Personal Cloud. Seriously very simple to use. However I had to drag and drop major items a few at a time, I tried to drag 100 gigs of music at once, wouldn't do it.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It can connect both ways. I use wireless but camping I use it as dirty network.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes and Yes
