A:AnswerActually, NO.... Sengled's WiFi bulbs WILL NOT connect to their bridge... HOWEVER...
It will work (and appear) just like the "hub required" bulbs in the Sengled app.
And they will function exactly the same when you associate your Sengled account with your Alexa account.
You'll never know the difference.
It will be completely transparent that it's connected directly to WiFi rather than through the hub/bridge. The only way that you will even notice is by looking at the devices connected to the bridge itself and the WiFi bulbs won't be there. Otherwise a WiFi bulb looks and behaves just like it's connected to the bridge.
I asked this question myself, wondering if I could "choose", in the event that my smart devices start affecting the ordinary performance of my WiFi. I eventually found a direct answer to this question on Sengled's support pages... since then I have purchased both a hub and several bulbs. I also received a free Sengled WiFi bulb as part of promotion and I can confirm personally that the WiFi bulb is not and cannot be connected to the bridge itself.
But don't worry, it won't matter as long as you don't have the same concern I had.
THE MAIN REASON for pointing this out is because I was surprised to learn something today.... The ONLY Sengled multicolor bulb that will run in "Party Mode" is the WiFi Multicolor bulb. Sengled calls it Neon Mode.... or something like that. Their bulbs that require their hub WILL NOT bring up that option in the Sengled app. In case you're wondering, Neon mode(s) are preset routines that cycle through different colors on their own.... The Sengled app has preset routines for things like Christmas and Halloween.
Sengled really needs to point small differences like that out on their product pages. No reason to leave happy customers (like me) in the dark about something like that. Same thing goes for the answer to the original question here..... just tell us that the WiFi bulbs can't be "switched over" to "their" bridge/hub.
So now I'm gonna stop scrubbing the internet and go order some WIFI multicolor bulbs... even though I have a "hub"... and try not to worry so much.

A:AnswerYes, you can set them up in your app and name them differently- I have 2 in my bedroom and I set it up to work with my voice command thru alexa as well. I LOVE these lights.
A:Answerno, but I purchased the lightstrip with the built-in microphone that you stick to the back of your TV and it will flicker to sound but won't mimic colors from the tv hence not really synched
A:AnswerYes. Enable the Sengled skill on the Alexa app and any echo device will operate them you don't need a special plug. You will need the Sengled app initially to set up the bulbs but after that initial set up (and enabling the Alexa skill on the alexa app) you can do everything with your voice. ("Turn on, make blue, turn off" and so on)
