QuestionHow to connect senheiser rs 160 with tvI am considering purchase a pair of sennheiser rs 160. Before i order them i need to know if my tv can connect with the sennheisers. What sort of plug is required in my tv in order to connect with the headphones?

- Answer Thank you for your question. The Sennheiser RS160 comes with a detachable audio cable with 1/8 inch connectors. Here is a great video that show how to set up the RS160 to your T V. You can find more technical information and instruction on our website. www.sennheiserusa.com

- Answer Hello- it will connect to ANY audio source that has a headphone plug on it. You can even convert the headphone plug to other popular connections.

- Answer Thank you for your question. The Sennheiser RS160 does come as a complete set. Both the transmitter and receiver base (small disk) are included. The HDR 160 is just the headset itself without the receiver.

QuestionWill the RS 160 system work with our new Samsung LED HDTV?Will the Sennheiser RS 160 system work with this television? We would like to use them to listen to the TV while riding a bike that is on a trainer. The trainer makes quite a roar while riding. Will these headphone block out enough of the sound of the trainer to allow us to hear the TV?

- Answer The RS 160 can connect to any headphone plug, or using an adapter from Best Buy, any RCA outputs. The RS 160 will provide up to 20 dB of isolation. Attached is a video that shows you the connections.

- Answer Hello- The RS 120 system is cross compatible with RS 110 and RS 120 only. RS 160 is cross compatible with RS 170, and 180.

QuestionIs there an audible echo effect when using the Sennheiser RS 160 Headphones with TV external speakers also on?I have about a 65% hearing loss and would like to use the headphones to help me hear the TV while others are watching. I hope to use them with my over the ear hearing aids on. I have read multiple reviews, some of which suggest there is an echo effect caused by a slight timing difference in the TV speakers and headphone sound, others claim they do not hear this effect.

- Answer Hello- There is no echo effect as long as your TV speaker volume is lower than the headphone volume (99.99999% of the time, you will listen this way). Attached is a video tour.

QuestionWill this work well in a building with all fluorescent lighting?Wanted to know because if I get these for work that's what we have everywhere. I don't know if that causes interference or not? Thanks

QuestionDoes this headphone automatically adjust volume when commercials come on?My husband does not hear well and has to turn the volume way up, then when the commercials come on they blast us out of the room. I would not want this to happen if he is wearing the headphones. If not, do you have a model that does?

- Answer Hello - the RS 160 volume does not automatically adjust for commercials. The RS 180 however, has a circuit that will help average those volume levels to make the changes less drastic. A video link is included here.

- Answer Hello- You would need a 1/8" to 1/4" adapter. Best Buy carries a few varieties of these.

- Answer Beautiful headphones My husband sets the volume that is comfortable for him.. I can listen in comfort by using the TV volume.that is comfortable for me.. The base is plugged into the TV .. Does your TV have a place to plug things in?
