• Simple answer is NO. You must have a transmitter to send the sound to the headphones, otherwise where would it come from? I would recommend earphones or other types of headphones than the RS 120 for the gym. The RS120's would just fall off unless you are doing a sport where you don't move much. Best Buy carries many Sennheisers that will work great from around $40-$50 up to the best items in the Magnolia room that can cost a few hundred and probably more. Sennheiser makes it all and Best Buy carries them. Look at a few of the recommendations below. They go from inexpensive to expensive but there is a lot in between and above, even for $1000.
