“Does interior light come on when you open door? What amperage outlet do you need to plug it in? When microwaves first came out you needed a 20 amp”

• The light does come on when you open the door and stays on as cooking is being done. The specs say it needs 14 amps, so a 20 may not be needed, but at 14 you should still have it on a dedicated 15 amp breaker or it may trip it if the toaster is on also.
