QuestionWhy did they remove the option to shut the beeping off?! Super loud early in morning or late at night. I may have to return for this reason alone..Why is display panel impossible to read? Even in a well lit room we can’t see the settings..at all!

- Answer I don't quite know about the beeping off thing you are referring to , but i do know that they did away from the thing constantly beeping after cooking was done. That's a relief. Display setting thing, I have never experienced that problem. Good luck. If it works good , just be Happy.

QuestionHow can front controls be made more readable? beWe can't read the front settings ("buttons") on our Sharp unless we get inches away -- - they are very dull thin white lines on a black backround. Our microwave is brand new - - can this panel be lighted or replaced with something readable?

- Answer I had the same initial reaction and agree this part of the design could be improved. I discovered if I move my body to the side of the microwave instead of standing right in front of it, plenty of kitchen light gets to the display. Simple fix but works for me.

QuestionOn the top of the door hinge, there is a gap... is this normal?On the the door hinge there is a small gap between the microwave box and the door. I can't tell if it's chipped or intentional. Does anyone know?

- Answer My Sharp microwave which I bought in 10-12 was made in Thailand. It is written on the back of the microwave with the serial number. I loved this microwave but it only lasted 21/2 years.

- Answer One cubic foot is 12 inches wide, deep and high. This item is double that plus 10%. The cooking compartment is quite roomy. And it has a popcorn function.
