• Yes. and it can auto detect headphone or anything else connected to the headphone port and switch off the internal speakers

• There are options in the sound menu that allow you to determine how the audio reacts to headphones. "Always On" is an option for the TV speakers as well as the option to have them turn off when headphones are connected.
