“Does this set have the connections on the back to connect it to a home stereo system? Could I connect this Sharp 32" LED HDTV set to my 12 year old Pioneer Dolby Pro-Logic stereo receiver and run the TV's sound through my stereo system which includes very nice Infinity stereo speakers? I have 4 speakers in my living room for surround sound. My Pioneer stereo receiver has RCA inputs on the back. What kind of inputs need to be on the back of any HDTV set I'm considering to make this work?”

• It has an optical audio output, a RCA left/right audio output & headphone jack.

• I have done this before with a number of tv's. Just need to have the right connectors. Good luck! I have all older equipment, so you have asked a good question.

• You'll need a digital-to-analog converter. They're cheap and widely available. The digital optical cable from the TV goes in one side, and an RCA cable goes to the other and then to your receiver. Or, if your receiver happens to have a 3.5 mm input, you can just run a cable to the headphone jack on the TV.
