A:Answer The flatter the tv, the less space there is for a speaker cone. So the sound quality suffers. I'm certain that there'll always be exceptions, but my 40 in. Sharp tv, was unfortunately not one of those exceptions. So if sound quality is important to you, be prepared to also purchase a sound bar.
