If you have used a Roku box, the remote and home screen is pretty much the same. You go to the Roku store to populate the home screen with the feeds you are looking for. In addition it has the physical hardware inputs like HDMI and the Coax connection right there mixed in with with Netflix and HBO-Go. If you are on the coax connection you use the standard Roku remote and press the up/down arrows to change the channel (Roku remotes don't have a number pad).
