“Can a "universal" remote be used to recall (toogle) beween 2 channels?”

• I found an old universal remote that had a code for mating it up with a Sharp TV and after doing so it enable me to recall a previous Over the Air channel. The key pad wouldn't allow a channel to be entered, however the on / off (power), volume and channel up & down scrolling also worked. The remote is at least a 10 year old model so possibly a newer universal remote may work differently.

• Using my samsung s6 cell phone as a remote for this tv running the free Roku app. It works great and there is a previous channel toggle.
