A:Answer Large companies often do special versions for single retailers -- it lets them offer a big discount without angering other retailers. They don't make it a worse product (since their name is on it, so their reputation is at stake).
As for the lack of Internet, I see that more and more as people prefer to buy that part separately, via Roku, Chromecast, etc. Easier to fix if you have a problem.
