“Do you HAVE to use the Roku remote every time you want to watch cable? With the Sharp TV I have right now I just use the cable remote to turn on/off the TV, volume, change cable channels, etc.. I only use ONE remote, the one that came with the cable box. So if I understand correctly, with this TV I would have to use TWO remotes every time I want to watch cable TV? The Roku remote to first switch to cable, and THEN I can use my cable remote? Because that would be stupid, I don't want to use two remotes every time I want to watch TV.”

No, you can use your cable remote as well.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hey Jon, I just bought the tv tonight. I found the same problem. It powers up to the roku home screen. At which time you have to select the cable/antenna option, then (and only then) can you use your cable remote. I have Uverse and I figured after I paired my remote to the tv the arrows and OK buttons would allow me to move from my roku channels to the cable/antenna option on the home screen. But alas, NO it Doesn't. So I guess we have to use 2 remotes just to turn the darned thing on.
