Love It!
|Posted .I bought 2 of these TVs, one for my room and one for my daughter and her husband's room. It was an early Christmas present for them. I absolutely love my tv! It is so much easier being able to get to the streaming apps directly from my TV, than having to go through the input selection and searching for my Roku box. The picture is vibrant, clear and beautiful! And, there are so many menu options for picture, sound, etc. My daughter and her husband say they love their TV too. They were so excited when they were telling me everything they love about it. So glad I chose this TV for their gift!

Love Everything But the Sound
|Posted .I purchased two of these TV's because I wanted the built in Roku players. The picture is great. 1080P and it fills the entire screen...none of those irritating black bars on the sides or top and bottom. The remote is easy to use to access my cable, gaming system, and my DVD player without switching inputs. The only improvement to this TV I would recommend is the the sound. Its not as loud as I'd like it to be. Don't get me wrong, it's not as if you cannot hear it at all, but when you have guests and your watching a game or a movie, it needs to be able to be louder, but it won't get there. Easily fixable with the addition of a sound bar. I would buy this TV again due to the price for what you get.

Roku Interface is amazing.
|Posted .I love this tv. The Roku interface is by far the best experience I've ever used. Selecting between cable, game console or Blu-Ray player is easier and cleaner than hitting "input". The picture quality is fantastic. To get this tv for $350 is an awesome deal.

Welcome Back Sharp
Posted .Tremendous bang for the Buck. Very user friendly and easy to set up. A wealth of Roku channels to choose from. Tremendous picture quality to boot. I purchased for an above fireplace mount I did not have a cable feed in that location. The amount of streaming channels and content to choose from does not necessitate a cable/local coax feed. This is the way future TV will ultimately be. Well worth the price I paid of $349 plus tax.

Q: Questionwhat is roku tv
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer It's an awesome streaming device that is amazingly now built into a tv. They also have separate boxes, but I love that this is built in. Roku has partnered with a bazillion different channels and services and offers them to be easily watched on your tv. You can watch Netflix, Hulu (all current episodes of prime time TV... at your leisure), Amazon Prime, Movie rentals on demand, Pandora Radio, and a TON of other channels that you can't get on a regular TV. It also has channels like CNN, FOX News etc... as well as some sports channels. I don't have or need cable... cause everything Is here and it's cheaper!!!

Q: QuestionDo I need to buy a Roku streaming stick or is it built in?I know this TV is "Roku ready" and includes the Roku remote control. But does that mean it has the purple HDMI input for the streaming stick? Or does it mean that the streaming stick (or the Roku programming) is included (or embedded in the TV) and no other Roku related equipment is required? When I set this Tv up, I want to have everything I need to start watching Roku.
Asked by Didi.
- A:Answer No other items are needed for this TV. The built in Roku just requires that you create an account for access. I purchased this TV and found the setup to be very simple and the Roku service to be far superior to the streaming devices I've used in the past. You'll be up and running watching your Roku in no time.

Q: QuestionCan I add over the air channels without rescanning? As my reception varies depending on where the rotor is pointed, can I just add channels without losing the channels I've already scanned?
Asked by Ernie.
- A:Answer Hi Ernie. Thank you for your recent inquiry in regards to adding over the air channels to your LC50LB371U. We are happy to help. We apologize but channels cannot be added without doing another channel scan. There is also no way to save channels. Each time you do a channel scan that will be the channels you will receive unless you adjust your antenna and do another channel scan. We would recommend logging on to antennaweb.org for information in regards to getting the best antenna signal strength in your area.

Q: QuestionOutside antenna for local stationsWe use an outside antenna for local stations - do not have a cable provider. Can we connect with this roku tv for our local news and then flip back for the streaming?
Asked by hillbilly.
- A:Answer We use "rabbit ears" and have no problem receiving the local TV channels. There is a place on ROKU that allows you to choose regular TV, DVD player (if you have one hooked up) or go to a channel on ROKU

Q: QuestionCan you see your PC or Laptop content from this TV?I am wondering if I turn on this TV can I choose to look at content from my PC or Laptop without having to actually plug the laptop into the TV? I may have a movie on PC I would like to watch on my TV.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The short answer is yes. There isn't a "wireless" or "bluetooth" type capability that allows you to just automatically connect. But the most simple (and best quality) way to do so is to simply get an HDMI cord and connect it from the TV to your laptop. There's a decent chance that your laptop does not have an HDMI outlet, so in this case, you would have to obtain both an HDMI cord, and an HDMI converter (adapter) - creates a slight hassle up front, but shouldn't cost more than $10-$15 bucks for all this. Plug the HDMI cord into the TV on one end, and into the converter on the other end. Then plug the converter into the appropriate spot on your laptop. If you're unsure of what type of converter to use, just bring your laptop into Bestbuy and ask. The price of these items in the store is expensive, so you're only going to the store to find out exactly what to get. Write it down and then purchase on amazon. One thing to note is that HDMI connection can now be done wireless, so if you're like me, and working in an Office - this could be an option but will run you roughly $200 dollars for a Wireless HDMI transmitter/receiver (and then you'd still need the same converter as described above if your laptop doesn't have an HDMI port). It's worth noting that an HDMI to HDMI connection is the only way to make the Roku TV show your laptop or PC screen. There are other USB ports but they don't support this capability. The good news is that you can probably spend less than $15 dollars and less than a half hour to get everything done with the HDMI connection.

Q: QuestionWhy Does the Picture Freeze Occasionally?Sometimes the picture would randomly freeze and the only solution is to unplug the tv. Any idea why this is happening? So far it has happened twice within the two months I have owned it.
