A:Answerthe water tank feeds the humidifier wick which is rotated by a small rubber wheel located inside the humidifier area, at the top. It tends to get caked with minerals, leading to an E2 error.
So, water does fall into the tray that the humidifier wick rotates within. It is controlled by the small float (square blu-ish styrofoam block) that moves freely in the assembly
A:Answerit does not shut off the machine, but it warns you with a flashing red light on the front. Filtered air will pass through the humidifier wick, like it would in an evaporative humidifier on a furnace. Unless the wick is rotating in the trough of water, it will simply dry out... and not contribute to increasing the humidity in the room.
A:AnswerHi not sure about ciger smoke but i do know when i burn the food on the stove it clear it up fast and when my husband was cutting something with his saw it started smelling like burnt metal i put the air purifier on and it went away less then 5min
A:AnswerHas anyone been able to figure out how to get a new replacement for the styrofoam part in the humidifier float tray
Sharp parts canada told me to search amazon but they never have it.
A:AnswerMaybe try filling the tank and turning it off before putting it back in. Or maybe try cleaning the humidifier filter itself if it hasn’t been done in a while. Only two things I can think to try if you haven’t yet
A:AnswerI've had this problem several times.
I've done the simple "check the humidifier section", and this does not solve the problem. I've replaced the humidifier wick and cleaned the assembly but that didn't sort it out.
so, I eventually took the back off, and cleaned the mineral encrusted wheel that turns the wick.
It's survived about 2 yrs... I'm ready to do it again :(
