“Why does "Sharp" say its rechargeable, when it is not?”

• You can recharge if YOU add rechargeable batteries. You can run it off any rechargeable 12 volt not internal, or run it off of rechargeable batteries you buy, and not included. It does not say the batteries are included.

• No it does not recharge. The battery compartment is a sinkhole that supports D cell batteries. Even the owners manual states this and ALSO says not to use rechargeable D cells. Best Buy and Sharp are both wrong for stating the unit as having this rechargeable feature when it clearly and obviously does not. Apparently neither of the companies unplugged the power cord and pressed the power button.

• Thank you for your recent inquiry in regards to the charging capabilities of the GXBT9. This audio system does feature a rechargeable battery.
