Q: Why does "Sharp" say its rechargeable, when it is not?
A: You can recharge if YOU add rechargeable batteries. You can run it off any rechargeable 12 volt not internal, or run it off of rechargeable batteries you buy, and not included. It does not say the batteries are included.
A: Output is 34w for the front speakers (17w per channel) and 66w for the subwoofer for a total of 100w. This unit does NOT have a built in rechargeable battery. It is powered with either the supplied AC cord or 10 D size batteries. Description on the Best Buy web site and previous answers are incorrect.
