Q: QuestionI am deaf in 1 ear. I have awful tinnitus. I need an option for bone conduction for 1 ear. The band that's on the bone conduction headset is too big (even the small size), is uncomfortable & cant be slept in because the band is too stiff. Any options?
Asked by Steena.
- A:Answer Hi there- Shokz here! For comfortable, single-ear bone conduction suitable for sleeping, the Shokz OpenFit (or OpenFit 2+) true wireless earbuds are superior to traditional neckband models. They use air conduction to produce bone-conduction-like comfort without a stiff band, fitting over the ear with soft ear hooks. These are not traditional stiff-band headphones. They are true wireless earbuds with soft, ergonomic ear hooks that sit lightly on the ear. They allow you to use only one earbud at a time, making them ideal for managing single-sided deafness and tinnitus comfortably while lying down. Our bone conduction headphones are the OpenRun models, and while they do have a headband, some people with with hearing impairments have found they can hear with vibrations through the inner ear and into the cochlea. Customers who benefit most from our products seem to be those with damaged ear drums, but healthy cochlea. While Shokz has a strong community of individuals that are hard of hearing, as a sport headphones company, we don’t have the expertise to confirm whether our headphones can work for any particular person or medical condition. All Shokz come with a 45-day return window, so if you try a pair and find they do not work well for you, you can return them through our Shokz website. Please reach out if you have any other questions. Thank you!

Q: QuestionAre these recommended for those with hearing loss
Asked by Anonymous.
This question was asked about the related product: Shokz - OpenDots ONE Open-Ear Clip-On True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds - Pink
- A:Answer Hello- Shokz here! Yes, Shokz OpenDots ONE could be a good option for people with certain types of hearing loss, as their open-ear design keeps the ear canal unobstructed, which can improve comfort and safety. However, they are not a universal solution for everyone with hearing loss and should be considered alongside more traditional bone conduction headphones and with a hearing professional's advice, as their technology relies on air conduction, not bone conduction. Please reach out to our Customer happiness team if you have any other questions. Thank you!

Q: QuestionAre they adjustable?
Asked by Kurlygurl.
This question was asked about the related product: Shokz - OpenDots ONE Open-Ear Clip-On True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds - Black
- A:Answer Hi there- Shokz here! Yes, the OpenDots ONE are adjustable. To wear OpenDots ONE: 1. Pinch the JointArc with your thumb and forefinger and raise it toward your ear. There’s no distinction between left and right ears. 2. Place the ball-shaped speaker against the inner ridge of your ear and the cylindrical battery compartment behind your ear. 3. Adjust the earbuds for a secure and comfortable fit. For optimal comfort, it is recommended to wear the JointArc at an angle of 0° to 30° relative to the ground. You can adjust this angle based on your personal preference. 4. When putting on the earbuds, open them gently and avoid pulling them apart too much. Use one hand to follow the steps above. Also, refrain from bending the JointArc excessively when the earbuds are not in use. Please reach out to our Customer Happiness Team if you have any other questions. Thank you!

Q: Questiondo these use bone conduction? I am looking for wireless earbuds that do that. like vibrate on the bone to bypass the eardrum.
Asked by carly.
This question was asked about the related product: Shokz - OpenDots ONE Open-Ear Clip-On True Wireless Bluetooth Earbuds - Black
- A:Answer Hi there- Shokz here! The Shokz OpenDots ONE do not use bone conduction technology. They utilize air conduction technology combined with DirectPitch™ and an open-ear design, according to Shokz. This means sound is delivered to your ears through the air, like traditional headphones, rather than through vibrations on the bones of your skull. Please reach out to our Customer Happiness Team if you have any other questions. Thank you!
