• A:Answer Purchase the phone and put your current simple mobile sim card in it. You shall be fine. But only customer service can answer if they will unlock it after an year for using it with your sim card, rather than with sim card that came with it.

• A:Answer After 12 months of continuous prepaid use on Simple Mobile, they allow the phone to be unlocked if requested. That then allows use on other carriers.
