- Answer 2.4 but they are engineered poorly and drop out of service and are slow to access.. In several reviews the company apologizes and says they are working on improving them That was 2 years ago.. I am experiencing the same issues, customer paid over 2600 dollars for system from simple safe.. I am giving it one more day and one more customer service call, If no improvement I will recommend for them to return to simply-safe for a refund or sue in court for misrepresenting their product.

Questioni have the camera located in my back yard, my problem is that we are out in the back yard alot and it keeps tripping the camera which runs the battery down quickly. is there a way to turn the camera off when we are out back via my phone?

- Answer Yes, you can turn the camera off in the phone app. Open the app and go to the upper left corner where there are 3 lines. Select that to open the menu. Select My System and then Camera Settings. Select your garage camera and then the setting for it will pop up. Turn the motion setting off and you should be good to go.

- Answer You're describing bandwidth/speed, so we'll say that we recommend at least 2mbps upload dedicated to the camera (so if you have more devices on your WiFi network, you'll want to account for those too). In terms of signal strength, we recommend -55 dBm. Once you have your camera installed, you can use the Connection Check tool in the SimpliSafe app to see if it's in a good spot!

- Answer The 25 foot power accessory kit from Simplisafe is specifically designed to power their outdoor camera. Built very well, it connects with a weather resistant seal on the top back of the camera and plugs into an outlet. I have two cameras, one in the back and one on the front of my house, both using AC cords. Works great. Note the SS app will sometimes show the battery charging but will update to 100% once the camera has been accessed.
