- Answer No, the app is free. But you do have to pay a monthly charge for monitoring, where they call the police if your alarm is triggered.

- Answer Yes, you will. We got the same offer. They were out of the main set. They rang it all up together including our free camera, then had the set mailed to us. We received it within a few days. Super simple to set up. It works great.

- Answer The magnet side is just that ... a magnet. So nothing concerning there. The sensor side, however, is not sealed in any way that would protect it from water intrusion. I suppose it wouldn’t be difficult to seal off though. My biggest concern would be extreme temperatures. So if you live somewhere that can experience extreme highs or lows, take a look at the operating temperature range of the sensor.

- Answer Hello, I do not believe they are compatible because they are two different operating systems. Each is designed for the system they came with, If you need additional sensors I would just go over to Simpli Safe website unless Best Buy carries additional sensors and purchase more. You should be able to tell yourself by attempting to set them up which I don't think you will have any luck with Simpli Safe recognizing your Xfinity sensors . Myself, I would only want the sensors that come with my system used only because they are designed for that system. I have the newest Simpli Safe security system and love it. I only use their products with this system. When in doubt the best thing to do is ask Simpli Safe .

Questionare the old and new systems compatible, can I replace the old base station with the new base station and can I use the new keypads with the old keypad system. basically, can I incorporate the best of the new with older components I already own?

- Answer This is a huge flaw (by design, I'm sure). It would be nice to invest in a Brand that i can continue to evolve with over time, as needed, without having to do a complete system overhaul for future compatibility. Arlo has the same issue, which is why i tossed my arlo cameras in favor of Nest.

- Answer Hey Brie - they've announced plans to integrate with Alexa this year. They've also made comments that they're looking into other systems such as HomeKit and Google Home, but nothing committed at this point other than Alexa.

- Answer I can't comment on whether you can configure the notification destination on the system if you're not subscribed to the interactive monitoring plan, but if you are subscribed, you can select how you want to receive notifications (push, sms, email) from the online portal.

QuestionI have the old SimpliSafe system but I would like to upgrade.. would I have to purchase the whole system over again? I spend $400 on it a few years ago. I’m still a customer for monitoring too! What can I do?!

- Answer It depends on what you mean by "upgrade" If you mean that you want a whole newer system, than yes... you'd need to buy a new one. If you mean you'd like to add components? Then nope... you can buy components - at least the one I got was like this. We can add a BUNCH (I forget the number but it was like 20 or so) more components without getting a different base. It would definitely be worth a call into simplisafe before you spend money on a new base. They're very helpful.

- Answer Hi. This model is the All New SimpliSafe system, which can integrate only the new generation of components. You will need an All New SimpliSafe Smoke Detector for this system, and cannot use an Original Smoke Detector.
