A:Answer In nearly all cases this will not work without a clear view of the southern sky from a window withOUT metal screens nor without metalized heat reflective coatings on the glass. The satellite signal travels a long distance to get to your window and probably won't be able to get through to your closet. However, if you are in a city where we have terrestrial repeaters then the terrestrial signal might be able to get to your closet but that too would be a surprise. I see two solutions: 1) If you have a window that faces south, then you can use a 50ft extension cable. SiriusXM sells 50ft amplified cables that will allow you to extend the antenna from a window location to the tuner that you have located in the closet. 50ft cables are available here: https://shop.siriusxm.com/50ft-home-antenna-extension.html Or option 2) you can use a GDI-SXTTR3 internet radio to stream SiriusXM from your Wi-Fi. With the internet radio you would have any satellite or terrestrial reception issues. TTR3 are available here: https://shop.siriusxm.com/SiriusXM-Wi-Fi-Sound-Station
