  • QuestionI want to be able to use this in my Class C motor home. Is it possible to place the antenna on the roof of such a vehicle?

    • Answer The Onyx EZR with Vehicle kit comes with an NGVA3 vehicle antenna that magnetically mounts to a "ferrous" metal surface. Your RV may or may not have a metal surface on its roof. Maybe the cover of your AC unit on the roof might be suitable. Alternatively, you can securely mount to the roof a metal plate about 12in x 12in and place the antenna in the center of this plate. Alternatively you can purchase the NGHA3 indoor outdoor antenna which does not need a metal plate and mounts with screws to the roof of your RV. Just be sure to properly water proof any screw perforations to the RV so you don't get any water damage. And secure the antenna's cable so it doesn't flap around in the wind.

    • Answer The SiriusXM Onyx family of radios, Onyx, Onyx EZ, Onyx Plus and Onyx EZR all support Audio connectivity via their included Auxiliary Cable or via their built in FM Modulator when used with the optional FM Direct Adapter Model # FMDA25. These radios do not have Bluetooth built in. The family of Onyx radios are also compatible with the optional Bluetooth Car Dock Model # SXBTD1V1 which adds Bluetooth connectivity to these radios.

    • Answer The best solution would be to use a quality name brand double sided tape to affix the antenna to the roof of your truck. This won't be permanent so it can be peeled off later if needed and removed with some citrus adhesive remover and will still provide a ground plane for the antenna's performance.

    • Answer The Onyx EZR comes with a 3.5mm stereo cable that can connect to a vehicle's Aux Input if your 2022 Mitsubishi Outlander Sport supports Aux input. Alternately, the Onyx EZR has a built-in FM Modulator that can be used with the optional accessory FM Direct Adapter Model # FMDA25 available from Best Buy. This FMDA25 connects between the vehicles FM antenna and the vehicles FM radio and the FMDA25 automatically disconnects the FM antenna whenever the Onyx EZR is turned on and routes the FM signal directly from the Onyx EZR to the vehicles FM radio. With the vehicle's antenna disconnected all external interference is completely eliminated. Then when you turn off the Onyx EZR the FMDA25 automatically reconnects the vehicles FM antenna and restores normal FM reception. Professional installation is recommended and available from Best Buy.

    • Answer A few trim levels of the 2023 Accord may have auxiliary input. But most do not. With Aux input you can use the included 3.5mm stereo plug to connect your Onyx EZR to your Honda Accord. But if you don't have auxiliary input then I would recommend the SiriusXM Roady BT which can connect to your Honda Accord via Bluetooth.

    • Answer No, the Onyx EZR radio can not receive AM broadcasts and the Onyx EZR can not receive FM broadcasts either. The Onyx EZR has an FM modulator built in that allows the Onyx EZR to send audio to your vehicle's FM radio, but it requires the optional FM Direct Adapter model number FMDA25 to ensure reception on your vehicle's FM radio without interference from FM broadcasts.

    • Answer Yes. And this will receive all the SiriusXM satellite channels including many more channels than your old receiver. The EZR comes with everything you need for installation in your vehicle. But be sure to use the included new satellite antenna as it has much better reception compared to our older satellite vehicle antennas.
