This allows the company that develops it to get the money faster that way they can work on things faster for possible dlc. This is not a AAA company and is a indie company. AAA company's have teams that work on things like bonus content that a small indie team would not have. If you are interested in the game pre order or buy the game once it comes out. Don't get mad over bonus content that is never used anyway....
