“I only need 13" of ducting to reach my wall vent. Can the 23" to 8' semi-rigid ducting be cut down to fit?”

• We had the same request. It would not have been difficult to cut it, but the installer from BestBuy told us that he was not allowed to cut the hose down, and we were stuck with 8' of hose being folded up and twisted behind the dryer. We'll have to call someone to come fix it. (I'm too old now to be climbing over and behind appliances! LOL!)

• Yes it can be cut down; but remember that you should leave enough extra ducting to allow for moving dryer forward if you need to get in behind it.

• The people who delivered my dryer with ducting said they usually have to cut them so I would say yes. Hope this helps

• Yes it can be cut. However, the ducting comes compressed and is usually stretched out to the needed length.

• Yes-it squishes up so can be easily adjusted to make shorter.

• yes, i cut mine way down so that its just a straight shot out of the vent.

• Yes, use scissors or a razor knife.Allow some room since it will compress or it will be hard to get behind it and install it
