“I have 34 inches available depth in my laundry closet for the dryer and the vent. The dryer has a depth of 30 inches. Are 4 inches enough for the installers to hook this up or should I look into buying a more flexible vent?”

I would purchase the flexible hose, that is what I had to do in order for it to clear the closet door. Hope that helps.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would say it depends if your dryer outlet is at the same height as the hole going outside. If you have to do a S-Curve to lead outside I would say get the vinyl more flexible type. Mine was a straight shot and worked perfect because it held its shape when I pushed the dryer back to the wall and continued to feed thru the hole on its own.
