• Of course it is required for an electric dryer. And gas dryers. Any dryer with a 4" exhaust needs a 4" duct to the outside. Does your "STEAM DRYER" Have a 4" Exhaust port? Of course. How else are you going to dry the steam off the clothes? Could use a clothes line but you are purchasing a dryer.
