If the installer does not use the dryer vent kit and it remains unopened just make sure he gives it to you to return to the store. The installer we had used our existing vent, never said a word about even having the new kit with him and kept it. We paid for it as required in advance and have never seen a credit for it. I don't want to say he kept it to return for credit for himself or that he would have kept it to use for a side job but what else are we supposed to think??
