QuestionOur house is pre-wired with 12 BOSE speakers throughout, 2 per room. What addl wires would we need to purchase to install this Sonance 12-channel amplifier? I am so confused! Also, we plan on streaming music from our iPhones. Will this work? Thanks!

- Answer No additional wires should but needed... BUT If you plan to stream your music using Sonos, know that the Sonance Amp does NOT allow you to stream without adding a Sonos component. You will need a Sonos Port (formerly Sonos Connect, but those are being phased out) on each channel. So 6 in all if you want the ability to separate all 6 pairs of speakers in terms of music play and volume. If you don't mind grouping some of them, you can get away with fewer. The alternative is buy Sonos Amps instead of the Sonance Amp. They serve as both an amplifier and a streaming device. You can also connect 4 speakers to one Amp. It really depends on how you plan to use the speakers in terms of their locations. Both devices (Port and Amp) come equipped with Apple Airplay as well.

QuestionSo, I have speakers all through my house (11 in all) , but the guy I bought from yanked the amp before leaving. My speakers are 8 ohm speakers and this amp is rated for 4 ohm. So, will it still work or blow the amp???

QuestionIs there a fan running while the amp operates? if so, is it noisy? I want to use it to power multiple channels of a pipe organ simulator (Hauptwerk). It'll be right next to the organ console, and I don't want to hear a hurricane.

QuestionDoes this amp have the ability to control each set of speakers separately? Ex. Play music only in the kitchen even tho I have speakers in the livingroom and bedroom.

QuestionI have just installed the Sonance 12-50 Amp and have five sets of speakers connected. One of the sets is not working and the red lights appear for that station. How do I troubleshoot this issue? They worked with my old amp.

QuestionIs this amp overkill if I'm just using it to go to a switch? Stereo > Amp > Switch > Multiple Speaker Zones or do I still get the power to run 18 speakers through the single connection?

- Answer Can't really answer this question, but can tell you I am very disappointed with the product. Best Buy set up my entire system, and it is basically a very slow to respond system. Also, overall quality of volume is bad and disappointing. If I had to do this over, would definitely have tried to find someone else to handle my installation. Money and budget was not the issue, and this still couldn't provide a satisfactory system.

QuestionIs there an app that can be used (like Denon HEOS provides) that you can use to select and manage each set of speakers separately or together? Or do you have to manually adjust volume from the unit itself?

- Answer Actually, that is not correct. The Sonnace IS the amp, You would only need a Sonos Port (formerly a Sonos Connect) to play Sonos, not a Sonos Amp.
