    • Answer Hi, Thank you for your question. Yes, with an important caveat. The IS8 does not mount behind drywall. Instead, it installs flush with the surrounding drywall and is finished with a thin skim coat of joint compound. From there, you can paint or apply wallpaper over the surface. For best performance, keep finishes thin (about 1–1.5 mm, up to 3 mm maximum) and use flexible materials. Avoid rigid finishes such as tile or hard plaster.
