“I just purchased a Sony Bravia 85”. I’m new to sound bars, but will this by it self sound good, or do I need to purchase additional items for good sound like a subwoofer or additional speakers?”

This will be ten times better than your tv speakers, but does not produce a rumbling bass. But alone is great sound.

You did not buy a 85 inch tv to NOT HAVE a movie theater sound experience. I have the 5.1 Playbar surround sound system in my living room and it is like I'm in a media room I should charge admission to. I love it so much I actually made a media room with the 5.1 Beam surround sound system in another room in my home and put a Playbar on my bedroom tv. I can even integrate all rooms to play the same thing or separate the rooms and play individual programs or music. Every tech who has come to install my products has said Sonos is better than it's counterpart that rhymes with nose. GREAT BUY!!!
