||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Sonos Playbar is a compact speaker system that connects to your TV via optical cable and has the ability to play whatever source the TV is playing, you can also stream music from your smart device or direct from the internet using the Sonos Controller App and your WiFi. Pair the Playbar with 2 Sonos Play 1's and a Sonos Sub to create a full 5.1 Wireless Surround Sound System that will amaze. Sound quality is what you would expect from a system in this price range, and you don't need a engineering degree to set it up.

Superb sound quality that sets the bar for 2019
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sonos took the top spot in my opinion largley to this bad boy right here. Reviews online don't do it justice, it's something you have to hear in person to believe. The power that this speaker bar is the strongest out of any Sony, Bose, or Samsung I ever heard. Definitely will make you wake the neighbors up when paired with the new Sonos Sonos subwoofer that retails for the same price. But if your a baller and got cash to burn, this is the way to go. It does not get better then this soundbar especially if paired with the sub and 2 additional Sonos SL speakers. All those combine will create flawless sound. Looks beautiful with or without the mount.

Excellent Sound. Beginning of Sonos addiction
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Provides great room-filling sound. Tried it out in store and at a friends house who has the complete 5.1 set up. Compared side-by-side with Bose 300 soundbar and this had more crisp sound in my opinion. Plus the Sonos app integrates other Sonos speakers well. Will slowly start purchasing additional speakers/sub to complete the system. -Able to control with Alexa -Syncs with Spotify and other music services -Easy setup - Can sit on table or mount to wall Cons: No physical remote, but works with iOS and Android with Sonos app, also with Alexa Mount needs to be purchased separately Wires are slightly visible below when mounted to wall given location/angle the wires exit the system. Overall, highly recommend. Will probably be adding subwoofer and Play1 speakers next

Best soundbar, hands-down
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I shopped around for many sound bars the past few months (mid 2016). I bought a couple but returned them for various reasons, quality, features, etc. My Brother has recessed Sonos speakers all throughout his house and he swears by it…So I finally decided to listen to him and pay a little extra money for the Sonos soundbar. (No amp needed so that saves you some money) I wish and listen to them sooner because everything about it is five stars. The quality is second to none, the features are incredible, compatibility with different services and many more are added daily... The set up process is so easy a 10-year-old could do it. Sonos is how Apple is with iPhones, they are the best in wireless Home audio. I have the Sonos soundbar, sub as well as 2 Sonos play 1 speakers. This delivers top of the line wireless uncompressed audio, it's the best you can get. If you only get the play bar and the sub, most people would be perfectly happy with that setup.

Great sound bar
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Originally I purchased this soundbar alone to upgrade from the speakers on my lg oled tv. The soundbar is good on its own but was lacking some serious punch (bass) this led me to purchasing the Sonos sub a few days later. Once this was paired with the soundbar the difference was night and day. I’ll also add that a couple days after receiving the sub I also purchased a pair of sonos ones and must say it’s pretty sweet. All in I know it’s an expensive system but there is a reason why it costs so much. Sure the playbar is relatively old technology with only optical audio output, WiFi, and Ethernet being the only options but you’ll never notice once it’s set up. Also because it’s older I can’t help but think that the quality and long term longevity of these components will far outlast there competitors. All this being said I say buy it but Only with the expectation that it’s a soundbar without the sub and that you’ll have to purchase another $700 speaker to make more bass.

Nice but no bluetooth
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They speakers are very expensive for what you get. I was able to buy an open box for about $530 in stead of the $700. The main reason to buy the play bar is the convenience of being to addd to it and build a custom set up. i would definitely recommend these speakers to anyone but make sure you buy the subwoofer along with this. If you have one of those low profile tvs that sit really close to the tv stand then i would not recommend these speakers things they are very think in height. They will definitely look better it wall mounted. The app is smooth but not very intuitive for adjusting the treble or base on the sub. You hind of have to dig through it a little. I am giving this 4 stars because it does not have bluetooth .One other issues is that you might need to connect it to your router to set it up.

Q: QuestionAnybody buy JUST the playbar?I am considering taking the plunge and buying a playbar, but can't afford to buy the sub right now. Is the audio quality decent enough with just the playbar to justify buying the playbar now, then buying the sub within the next couple months?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer Yes...I have only the playbar (well only the playbar hooked to my tv, i have several other sonos components in the rest of my house) and it works amazingly better than the standard speakers on my tv (and I have a huge expensive tv). The playbar is used by itself...and bonus, the app allows you to mute louder sounds at night with the nighttime feature so if you're awake and the kid is asleep and you don't want to wake her, you can still listen to the voices and sounds at a similar volume without having your finger on the "trigger" to lower/raise the volume all the time. I can't wait to add the sub myself, but right now I only have playbar and I love it!

Q: QuestionWill this work with both the Sonos system & the t.v.?I recently had my home built and I have the Sonos sound system through out my house with the exception of the t.v. room. My question is if I hook this sound bar up to my television, will it play music from the Sonos system as well as the t.v.? (Not at the same time, of course)
Asked by BG.
- A:Answer Absolutely! just click on the app and click TV. it's that simple

Q: QuestionShould the playbar be used as a center speaker?I'm looking to set up a home theater system, and I was looking to go all Sonos and was curious what should be used as a center speaker.
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer The playbar definitely is the center speaker in this system. Then you can pair with a sonos sub and either two play 1s or two play 3s or if you're really excited about sound two play 5s. Essentially the playbar, in a typical 5.1 setup is the center speaker and the front side two speakers as well.

Q: Questioni have a funky shaped room , where the TV sits is a low roof area , where i sit , about 15 feet back, has a high ceiling . should i mount the sound bar out away from the TV ? it would be higher and 10-12 feet away . or should i mount it under the TV
Asked by suplj.
- A:Answer Under tv. You always want the soundstage to come from as close to the visual source as possible. Moving the audio away or out in front of the tv could cause lip sync issues but also it would not be a very good listening experience when watching shows.

Q: QuestionWhen not wall mounted and placed in front of the TV, can the Sonos Playbar be laid flat so it is not so tall and potentially blocking a portion of the TV, or does it need to be placed tall?
Asked by Knick.
- A:Answer I HAVE MINE LAID FLAT AND IT SOUNDS THE SAME AS WHEN I STAND IT UP
