If it’s in your budget, I would highly recommend the sound bar and the Sub. Set up is very quick and easy. The Sonos app makes setting up everything a breeze. Sound is amazing and clear.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I did the same thing - replaced an old school surround system with a Sonos playbar - great decision. Other sound bars do not compare - get him a Sonos.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I looked at the cheaper ones. They all had sub woofers. If you don't mind that, you can get a good sounding one for a reasonable price. If you are looking for just a sound bar without a subwoofer, don't go for the cheaper Bose one. It's a choice between Sonos and the better Bose model which is the same price as the Sonos. I liked the Bose model, but I like the Sonos better. Seemed to sound better to me for movies. Better bottom end. Bose a little to treble for me.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If you love music and enjoy watching any TV or movies you will not regret the purchase. It will probably bow him away. A purchase like this would last many year of enjoyment versus a cheaper option which would degrade in audio quality and compatibility quickly as technology improves. We play background music in the house through our Playbar which is a huge added bonus over what the majority of alternatives allow.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The sonos sound bar sounds great. Only 2 cables to connect it. Power cable to outlet and digital optical cable to TV. Expanding the system is easy. Add the sonos sub or sonos play speakers. They only require a power source. Setup only takes 5 minutes. Sound controlled by your existing tv/cable remote or use sonos app.
