• I use the Sonos amp to run two non sonos speakers in my kitchen and it works great.

• I do not believe so, at least I haven't been able to. Have the same style setup with Bose Mini Speakers. Contacted SONOS on it, they advised they may (may) add this option in the future, but not today.
