Q: QuestionThis is offered with other Sonos components to create a 5.1 system. Are other non-Sonos components needed to create the surround sound? What piece of hardware does the sound processing and broadcasts the correct sound to rear channels?
Asked by Juggler.
- A:Answer Only one speaker in your setup needs to be wired to your router. That speaker will connect all the other speakers to your internet and one another. I have a playbase, sub, and 2 ones with Alexa. Only my playbase is connected, via ethernet cable (provided) , to the router and connected to my smart tv through optical cable (not provided).
