• If the signal connection from Roku actually passes 5.1 via the appropriate cables--assuming HDMI, it should be fine. Receiver plays 5.1 and 7.1 and LPCM automatically for my PS3 & PS4 titles

• Yes, it runs anything up to 7.2. I only use 5.1 and it works well.

• yes it has a higher sound grade than 5.1, that just means 5 speakers with sub
