A:Answer That should be no problem, as you would be using the front, center, and surround connections and not the "surround back/bi-amp" connections. Those are for a set of speakers in a different room, or outside, which you can have run separately. That is what 7.2 channel is designed for. If you only want a typical surround-sound arrangement, then a 5.1 or 5.2 -channel receiver would work.
