“Hooking up projector with component cables Trying to drive video from a blu ray player into the receiver (via hdmi) and then from receiver into projector via component cable coming out of the projector. Audio works great but cannot see any video. I am plugging the yellow video cable from the projector into the yellow video port in the back of the receiver with no luck...”

This receiver has no conversion at all, so if you want to input to this receiver using HDMI, you have to use the HDMI output. Same thing for the composite(yellow) connection.

You will notice that most of the ports in this receiver are IN. That means you can connect any device using HDMI or component and it will output all the signals to HDMI OUT going to your TV.
