“Are there 2 Sony 18-200 lenses--one with a normal sized barrel and the other a compact version? The compact version barrel has the same diameter barrel as the sony 55-210 lens. If so, is there a difference in the ordering code?”

• Hi Elliot, the SEL18200 is the first version (silver color) while the SEL18200LE is the compact version (black color). Hope this helps. Regards, Zander

• One is a power zoom, more suitable for video that is your intentions. The lens ending in product ID "LE" is the standard telephoto manual zoom. I purchased this lens and it is pretty nice.
