“Purchased a HTNT5 system this weekend on a open box deal. I did not receive a remote control or a instruction Manuel. Am I going to have problems setting this up with out a remote? I purchased a XBR X900E tv to go with it. I’m concerned about the remote”

I too bought this open box and found without the instruction manual it's next to impossible to setup. Mine was also damaged and had a child's toy in the box. The description said excellent and a price sticker was on it showing a price $100 less than I was charged. I won't ever buy open box again. This is a good soundbar if bought new with all the extras and manual.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I could be wrong, but I do think that you will need to acquire a remote in order to setup the system completely. When I set up my soundbar, I saw no alternative to using the remote. Even if there is an alternative to using the remote for the setup, you WILL want a remote for normal, everyday use. Bottom line: get a remote for the unit.
