QuestionI have an older Philip’s 1080tv and I bought this product. I do not have an optical output or hdmi arc. All I have is the hdmi slots (normal), the rca audio output as well as the headphone jack. How can I get this to work with my soundbar? (See photo)

- Answer I had the same issue. You should return the sound bar or else invest in a tv that has arc plug in. The regular hdmi plug won’t work.

QuestionHi will this sound bar be able to be connected to DIRECTV genie out put rather than the tv. My speakers on the TV have gone out and would rather get a sound bar than a new 65' TV Thanks

- Answer You have had this TV for less than a year and your speakers are no longer working. Sounds like you should still be under the warranty period to get them fixed. Anyway, if you want to connect your Genie to the soundbar, make sure that you have the soundbar set up under the ARC connection. That will automatically turn off the TV speakers. Could that be why you are no longer getting sound from them? Sony TVs usually turns off the internal speakers when you have an ARC connection set up. Your soundbar should have an additional HDMI input. That is where you plug your Genie HDMI out cable into. The HDMI cable from the ARC connection should go to the ARC connection on the soundbar and the other end of the HDMI cable plugs into the ARC connection on your TV. I do not know which Sony TV that you have, so I am assuming that you have an ARC input on your TV.

- Answer You should be able to link it through ARC HDMI and switch the tv sound output to external speaker and then just control it with the same remote that controls the tv.

QuestionI have brought 3 sound bars in past year. The first one lasted a year. I just brought a new one 3 weeks ago. after only 1 week it stopped working. I returned it got an up grade one, and it wasn't working properly the minute I started it. any sugestions.

- Answer I found the base to be a little poor as well, but once I watched a movie or played a video game, the base quality improved. Don’t know about the box.

QuestionReviews say that the bass is lacking a bit...is it possible to connect a different subwoofer to this? I have one that came with computer speakers that I know is pretty good.

- Answer Just pay attention on how many ohms (omega symbol) each one of them operate. Normally they can be 2 ohms, 4 or 8 ohms. If they match in the number you can go ahead. Maybe you'll need to replace the jacks (connectors) but not a big deal. Im just not sure if a computer woofer would be better than the original one. But if everything fist well it is worth it the try.

- Answer Not sure exactly your th question regarding the soundbar. The sound bar doesn't allow pass through. You would need to hook it into arc HDMI port or digital optic port and all sound will play through the soundbar from there. You can't have it run it from tv to soundbar to ps4 since it had no pass through capability

QuestionI connected my iPhone 6 to this and can run it, however the volume on the iPhone is controlled by the remote. I wanted to raise the iPhone volume to max and keep the sound bar down, but they run simultaneously. Any suggestions?
