During the Initial setup, you can connect to the internet, add Google accounts to use Android apps, and perform tuning to receive TV broadcasts. - Answer Hi Will, There is much confusion about the HDMI versions and concerns about compatibility. For this reason, we do not promote the HDMI versions incorporated on many of our products. Instead, we advertise the features of a product that are associated with a particular HDMI version. For X800H, the TV will support up to 18Gbps signal for 4K HDR. For expanded HDMI 2.1 feature support like 4K/120, VRR and ALLM, please check out the X900H. Regards, Jay

QuestionWhat would be considered “adequate ventilation”? We have a cubby hole in a wall unit that our previous tv fit into. This tv would fit but there would be no room to spare. Is that a problem?

For product protection and safety reasons, Sony strongly recommends that the installation of your TV on the wall be performed by qualified professionals. Do not attempt to install it yourself. Never cover the ventilation holes or Never place the TV where ventilation openings may be blocked. Leave space around the TV. - Answer Morning ... Don't quote me on this, but I believe you have to get a different set of patch cords. Sorry I still use the term patch cords ... this set uses RCA connectors on your L & R Video out, as well as a single Audio out from your VCR-DVD player. It has a USB connector on the other end to patch into you TV. I also believe since this is a "Smart TV" it will automatically recognize you have something "new" connected. However, you may still need your remote to change to that USB input when you wish to use your VCR-DVD player. And I believe you can rename that input to identify at a glance.

QuestionThe Xfinity-Comcast Cable prongs (White, Red, Yellow) that are to connect to the back of the TV are (to my awe) too small. That is, whereas they fit all former TV's, they will not stay in the TV ports, thus avoiding any (or a decent) connection.

- Answer If you are a major Apple fan, you may be happier with an LG, which will allow you to cast images and audio from your iPhone, for example. The Android OS typical of current Sony TVs will do "casting" from Android devices but is less friendly to Apple. Others may have found a workaround -- the easiest way to compensate for this difficulty is to use an Apple TV device plugged into one of the HDMI ports on your TV.
