“I am confused for the refresh rate. The specs say 240 but in the comments you say its 60. Which is it?”

• I bought this TV 5/19/16...It has a 120hz native panel. Many people keep posting wrong info and confusing everyone. It is a 120hz panel. As far as I know all sony's in 2015/2016 have 120hz panels.

• Sony says it is a 120hz panel. When buying I'll know for sure, but trust the reviewer who said they bought it and are running at 120hz on a PC.

• I have contacted Sony twice about this while the TV waited in my cart, once by phone and once by chat. Each rep told me this is 60hz. My cart is now empty.

• I spoke with a Sony rep today and he said the native refresh rate and panel type on the XBR-49X80C is 60hz and IPS.

• The TV has a native refresh rate of 60hz which is why it is $200 less than the XBR830C which has a native 120hz. The 240hz is just marketing BS. Samsung does the same thing with their 60hz screens. They call theirs "Motion Rate 240" or something like that.
