How is the sound quality null

It's not too bad, but not great either ... if you are an audiophile, used to crisp, clear sounds, you will be very disappointed . A separate soundbar is probably the best way to go in that case. The speakers are down-firing and too close together, so if it's on a stand (as opposed to wall mounted), it' more likely to sound 'muffled'.

Not an expert, but the sound does not quite measure up to the picture quality. On our previous Sony, the sound came from the bottom font; on this one, the sound comes from the bottom. For our use this is not a big issue; however, a sound bar would probably be a good addition. For the price, we are still pleased with this TV.
