“does this system pick up am stations well?”

• It has an excellent AM/FM tuner. But how well it picks up stations really depends on your geographical location and type of building the unit is in. If you have the unit in a typical home, there should not be much interference, but in an office building there can be a lot of metal which will hinder reception.
